A Streetcar Named Desire

A Streetcar Named Desire is a play by American writer Tennessee Williams?. In the play, fading southern belle Blanche Dubois visits her sister Stella and Stella's husband Stanley, who finds it difficult to deal with her flighty personality.

The first London production of the play was at the Aldwych Theatre on Wednesday, 12 October 1949, with Vivien Leigh? playing Blanche.
