Automobile Engine

Automobile Engines are usually gasoline-powered internal combustion engines. Engines have also been manufactured to run on diesel fuel, biodiesel ?, ethanol ?, and E85 ? (ethanol/gasoline blend).

Most often, automobile engines are piston engines. Rotary engines are also sold, such as in the Mazda RX-7 ?. Rocket ? and jet engines ? have been used in cars, though with very limited popularity due to their poor fuel economy.
