Computer Programmer

A computer programmer writes software?, or executable sequences of machine code, for computers. Programmers can work with either a CPU's native "assembly" language or a programming language like C++ which, when used with a compiler, is converted into machine code. Computer programmers often write software for the sake of profit; however, a recent trend (promulgated by the Free Software Foundation in Massachusetts) involves programmers licensing their efforts under a "copyleft license" in which anyone may use their software under certain conditions. Computer programmers are stereotyped as being socially inept with poor hygiene and a lack of social life.
