FNFAL

The FN FAL is a combat rifle that originated in Belgium in the 1950's. It was widely adopted by non-communist countries during the Cold War, becoming known as the "right arm of the free world".

The FN FAL shoots a fully-powered rifle cartridge, making it difficult to handle in full automatic mode.

Conflicts

• Falklands War? - Both British and Argentinians were armed with FALs. The British versions were semi-automatic only.
• Six Day War - The Israeli infantry was armed with FALs.
