In nature, green is the color of most grass, trees, and shrubberies. Unripe fruit is often green. The ocean, especially in northern climates, is often green. Chlorophyll, a chemical present in plants, is green. Paper money in the United States is green. Frogs are green. Kermit the Frog, a Muppet, sings, "It's not easy being green." Politically the "greens" are associated with environmentalism, and to "go green" means to use less energy and produce less waste. |
