Jefferson Davis

Jefferson Davis was the president of the Confederate States of America ?, an illegal organization that attempted to band together secessionist states. He was from Mississippi. At the end of the war, rather than negotiate a surrender he fled towards Florida. He was captured, reportedly dressed in womens' clothing.
