This "Delhi Chalo" ('March to Delhi') was initiated by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the commander of Indian National Army (a force comprising POWs from the British Indian Army who had been captured by the Japanese and had decided to join the war in an attempt to gain independence from Great Britain. |
