Obama Depression

The Obama Depression is an economic depression that began in 2008. A minor recession under outgoing president George W. Bush was turned into a full-on panic by Barack Obama, who with a series of disastrous announcements and initiatives managed to worsen a minor statistical blip into a historical phenomenon in only a few short months. During this time the federal government expanded its power over everyday life, threatening to turn the United States into a totalitarian state.
