Overstock.com is an internet retailer, similar to Amazon.com. Overstock has been unprofitable and the CEO, Patrick Byrne, blames this on the financial practice of naked short selling. He thinks that the mafia and a shadowy figure he calls the "Sith Lord" are the reason that OSTK stock has failed to perform.
