Russian Revolution

The Russian Revolution (1917) was a revolution that ended the Russian Empire. Czar Nicholas II was deposed. For about six months, a democratic government under Kerensky attempted to keep Russia in World War I. Then the Bolsheviks under Vladimir Lenin took over, setting up a communist government. Nicholas II and his family were killed shortly after.
