William Welch

William C. Welch (born December 18 ?, 1977 ? in Detroit, Michigan ?) is an American professional wrestler ?, better known by his ring name ? (The) Messiah.

On August 1 ?, 2002 ?, Welch was assaulted by two unknown people in his home. The incident was featured on an episode of America's Most Wanted.

The Messiah married Renell Madison on October 14, 2006. He previously dated Kristi Myst.

Welch's professional career began after he was trained at the Slam U Wrestling Gym in Sun Valley, California ?. He debuted for the school's parent company the Slammers Wrestling Federation after his training ended, and competed there as Iron Mike Ehrhardt.

Welch found success in Xtreme Pro Wrestling ? as The Messiah'.

He has wrestled in Italy twice and was a character in a world wide video game. (Backyard Wrestling 2: There Goes The Neighborhood ? for Xbox ? and PlayStation 2 ?)

Welch was arrested in January 2006 after assaulting a woman at a bar in Valencia, CA.
