Casino

From Encyc

A casino is a business that generates revenue by operating games of chance. Typical games include blackjack, roulette, poker, slot machines, and baccarat. Casinos are not legal everywhere, and therefore tend to make a lot of money in the places where they are legal. Usually state and municipal governments take a large bite of their revenue.

The rules of the games are designed to give the casino a small mathematical advantage, so that on average the casino wins more money than it loses. Casinos are also known for offering hotel accomodations, dining, shows, and event spaces.
