Français : La souche devait être retirée avant de pouvoir construire le nouveau kiosque ; par ailleurs, les matériaux utilisés pour tenter de renforcer la base du tronc empêchaient l’utilisation d’une tronçonneuse. Il a donc été décidé de procéder à un abattage à culée noire, c’est-à-dire un arrachage de l’arbre, afin de l’abattre sans tronçonneuse tout en créant un effet de levier pour arracher la souche. On voit ici le bûcheron séparant la souche de la grume ; puisqu’il y avait une pourriture de patte, la séparation a lieu assez loin des racines pour ne conserver que la partie intacte de la grume. À la ceinture du bûcheron, de gauche à droite : deux coins, une bombe de peinture, un autre coin et un Spencer, c’est-à-dire un mètre déroulant à pointe.
English: The stump had to be removed before building the new kiosk; furthermore, the materials used to try a reinforcement of the trunk prevented using a chainsaw. It was consequently decided to uproot it, to fell it without chainsaw while leveraging the stump to uproot it. One can see here the lumberjack separating the stump from the trunk; as there was a butt rot, the separation is made afar from the roots, to only keep the safe part of the trunk. At the belt of the lumberjack, from left to right: two wedges, a paint spray, another wedge and a Spencer, that is to say a length meter. |
