Antonio Abbatini

Antonio Maria Abbatini (1609-1677) ws an Italian composer and choirmaster.

Among his compositions are the operas Dal male il bene (1653, among the first opera buffa), Ione (1664) and La comica del cielo (1668). H ealso wrote sacred canzonas, a 16-part mass and several cantatas. He also prepared new editions of Gregorian hymns.
