Bamboo

Bamboo is a plant in the monocot group that grows in large woody tube shapes. It is a favorite food of pandas. The wood is useful for flooring, woodwind instruments, and a variety of other purposes. Bamboo is native to the far East but has been introduced into North America and can be invasive.
