Rabbit

From Encyc

A rabbit is a small furry animal. It is classified as a lagomorph. Rabbits eat grass and leafy vegetables.

Domesticated rabbits used to be raised mainly for meat or fur, but more recently they are being kept as pets. They are extremely efficient at converting animal feed to meat, and convenient because they can be kept in small quarters and don't require much specialized equipment. During World War II, breeds such as the Flemish Giant served as a protein source in German-occupied areas because they were one of the few resources that could be hidden from the Nazis.

Rabbits are excellent jumpers. They move by hopping. They are prodigious breeders. In the wild, they take shelter in underground burrows called warrens.

A male is a buck and female is a doe.
