An aardvark (Orycteropus afer) is a large mammal found in Sub-Saharan Africa.
It is nocturnal, and burrows with its powerful claws, looking for the ants and termites on which it feeds. It has a long snout and tongue to help it catch insects.
It has large ears and a heavy tail.
