Albert Speer
Albert Speer was the Nazi in charge of the German war economy. He also took part in war crimes including the use of forced labor and the Holocaust. His economic mismanagement failed to put Germany on sufficient footing to win a long war, and by the time Germany shifted to a full war economy it was too late. Following the war he was tried at Nuremberg and given a light sentence, being released from prison in 1966. He lived until 1981.
