Alberta
Appearance
Alberta is one of the ten Provinces of Canada.
Alberta's Western boundary, with British Columbia, follows the height of land of the easternmost range of the Rocky Mountains. That mountainous boundary is paralleled by a ribbon of foothills. East of the foothills, the land is relatively dry, and relatively flat. Long grass prairie, and short grass prairie, covered southern regions now use for agriculture. The northern half of Alberta is coveredby Boreal Forest.
Alberta has rich petroleum reserves. But most of these deposits are relatively difficult to process. These include massive tar sands deposits. The tar sands deposits are roughly the area of Florida.
