Alpha Hormones is an American healthcare company and medical clinic providing services related to weight management and hormone therapy.[1] The company was established in 2020 and is headquartered in Pasadena, California. It operates both as an in-person clinic and a telehealth provider for patients.
History
[edit | edit source]Alpha Hormones was incorporated on January 30, 2020, by Rotana Steven Tek, an osteopathic medicine in the United States|osteopathic physician who has served as the company's chief executive officer and medical director since its inception.[2] Dr. Tek, a graduate of the University of North Texas Health Science Center Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, established the clinic to provide structured medical programs addressing hormone imbalances, age-related metabolic conditions, and preventive care.[3][4]
Initially based entirely out of its Pasadena headquarters, the company subsequently expanded its operational model to include a remote telemedicine platform. This allowed Alpha Hormones to extend its clinical reach beyond California to residents in states such as Florida and Texas, in accordance with applicable state medical regulations.[5]
Operations and services
[edit | edit source]Alpha Hormones functions as a clinical medical services provider. Its activities are centered on patient evaluation, biomarker testing, treatment planning, and ongoing clinical monitoring, rather than the direct manufacturing of pharmaceuticals.[6][7]
The clinic provides several specialized treatment programs:
- Hormone Replacement Therapy: The clinic offers Androgen replacement therapy|testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT). BHRT is often administered via subcutaneous hormone pellets to maintain consistent systemic levels.[8]
- Metabolic and Weight Management: Alpha Hormones provides medical weight loss interventions, utilizing GLP-1 medications such as semaglutide and tirzepatide, alongside physician-led diabetes and cardiovascular optimization programs.[9][8]
- Regenerative and Longevity Medicine: Treatments include peptide therapies (such as sermorelin, tesamorelin, and GHK-Cu) targeted at aging, aesthetic dermatology, and cellular repair.[8]
The clinic operates an in-house laboratory certified under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA). The laboratory processes blood panels and diagnostic tests, allowing the clinic to yield hormone biomarkers rapidly to assist clinicians in same-day treatment adjustments.[8] Patient care is supported through a digital health platform and patient portal, which tracks biometric data and allows patients to schedule both in-person visits and virtual consultations.
