Andrew Jackson

Andrew Jackson was a president of the United States of America.

He first became famous as an Indian fighter and during the War of 1812, when he repelled the British attack on New Orleans.

During his presidency universal male suffrage became commonplace throughout the United States, and property requirements for voting were dropped. This didn't include African-American slaves.

Jackson's picture is on the $20 bill.
