Angry Birds

Angry Birds is a video game series owned by Finnish company Rovio.

The gameplay is simple, you control a flock of birds trying to defend their eggs from the green pigs. In each level you do this by attacking the pigs' structures, trying to kill all pigs. The birds can't fly so you must use a slingshot to shoot them. Once all pigs have been killed you move on to the next level.

The first Angry Birds game was released in 2009 and was very successful. A sequel was released in 2015 but had a more mixed reception. There has also been some spinoff games, the first was Bad Piggies released in 2012.

In 2019 lots of the older games (including the original Angry Birds) were removed from app stores and made unavailable to download.
