Anne Frank

From Encyc
12 year old Anne Frank, at school, in December 1941.

Anne Frank was a Jewish Dutch girl who hid from the Germans for several years in an attic. Near the end of the war she was caught, then sent to a concentration camp where she died.[1] Her father found her diary in the attic and published it after the war. It is one of the most widely-read first person accounts of the Holocaust, and has been made into films and plays.
