Arnold Schwarznegger is an Austrian-American body-builder, actor and politician.

He arrived in the United States as a young man to compete as a bodybuilder, and appeared, as a bodybuilder, in the 1970 film Hercules in New York. He appeared over half a dozen films, over the next fourteen years, before his career-making portrayal of the Terminator in the 1984 film The Terminator. This film placed him among the highest paid actors in the film industry.

From 2004 to 2011 Schwarznegger was the Governor of California.
