Asteroid Ceres
1 Ceres, discovered in 1801, by Giuseppe Piazzi, is the largest asteroid, and the first to be discovered.[1] Ceres is much larger than the other asteroids, and is estimated to contain about 40 percent of the mass of the asteroid belt.
