The Atari 2600 by Atari is one of the original game consoles that was popular in the late 1970's and early 1980's until the Nintendo Entertainment System was released. Games included Pac-Man, Adventure, Combat, Breakout, and many others. The console had an on-off button, reset, and select buttons with a slot to put in game cartridges. To play the games, a joystick was used.
