B-17 Flying Fortress
The B-17 Flying Fortress was a large, four-engine, heavy bomber used in the European theater of World War II. The United States and Great Britain used them to drop bombs on Germany.
The planes were propeller-driven and defended by multiple machine guns including a ball turret on the underbelly.
