Bank robbery

From Encyc

Bank robbery is the act of robbing a bank, usually by armed intruders demanding all the money from the tellers, and sometimes from the vault.

It's a federal crime, with stiff penalties, and very difficult to get away with. Most bank robbers are caught fairly easily. The only semi-recent exception is D. B. Cooper, who robbed a bank then jumped out of a commercial Boeing 737 while it was flying over a wilderness area. But no one is sure if he made it or died in the process.

It's a popular film trope, with films from Bonnie and Clyde to Reservoir Dogs and Point Break showing bank robberies.
