Barbarella (remake)
Barbarella will be a remake of the 1968 film of the same name.[1] The 1968 film, and the remake, are based on a series of comic books, based on the character Barbarella, from 1962.[2]
Sydney Sweeney was picked to play the lead role in 2002.[1] At first industry insiders speculated that Jane Goldman would write the screenplay, but, in March 2025, other insiders suggested Blake Northcott, the writer of well received new Barbarella comics books, would be chosen to write the screenplay. Jane Fonda played Barbarella, in the first film, while married to Roger Vadim, the film's director.
