From the perspective of the Solar system, Barnard's star is the fastest moving star in the sky.[1] It is a red dwarf star, approximately 16 percent the mass of Sol, our sun. It is located about 6 lightyears from the Solar system.
In 2026 Astronomers found four small exoplanets orbiting the star.[1]
