Battle of Berlin

From Encyc

The Battle of Berlin was one of the last battles of World War II. Soviet troops encircled Berlin and then captured it. Germany resisted with fragments of regular formations as well as the Volkssturm, a militia mostly consisting of old men and children.

Hitler killed himself in a bunker and the Soviets captured the Reichstag building and flew their flag over it.
