Battle of Kharkov
The Battle of Kharkov took place many times during World War II, as the city in eastern Ukraine changed hands four times.
In 1943, following Stalingrad, the Soviets took the city but they were overextended. Manstein pulled units from the Caucasus and brought them north for a strategic counterattack that retook the city.
But then later in the aftermath of Kursk the Soviets retook the city.
