The Blue Whale (Balaenoptera musculus) is the largest mammal and animal on the planet, the lengthiest blue whale ever found was 33.58 meters long and the heaviest one recorded was over 410,000 pounds. Despite this, they only eat plankton and extremely small fish.
Appearance
[edit | edit source]As the name suggests, they have blue skin, their eyes are small to their body, yet are 4.3 inches, about 4.623 times bigger than a human's. They also have the biggest lungs and male reproductive organs out of any animal.
Geographic Range
[edit | edit source]They will breed near the poles and migrate down south to the tropics to food on vast amounts of plankton.
