Carl Jung

Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961), born in Switzerland, was a pioneer of psychiatry. He met Sigmund Freud in 1907 and collaborated with him until 1913, when their increasingly divergent views led to a split.

He was President of the International Psychoanalytical Association in 1910 and was a professor at Zurich (1933-41) and Basel (1944-61).
