Carrot

Carrots

The Carrot is a pointy orange vegetable. The carrot top is green and leafy, and grows above ground. The carrot root is firm and contains a lot of water. It is a good source of vitamin A, which helps improve vision.

All parts of the carrot are edible, but most people eat the root. The term "baby carrots" can refer to immature carrots or to large carrots processed by cutting and tumbling to smaller pieces that are easier to handle and chew.
