Cat
Cats (Felis catus) also known as the domestic cat, house cat or pet cat are small, furry and stealthy felids of the genus Felis. they were first domesticated around 3,600 BCE to hunt the mice and birds eating up grain supplies. Cats are one of the most popular pets in the world due to their chilled out nature, playfulness and quietness.

History and Evolution
[edit | edit source]Cats are descended from the African Wildcat of Egypt, they were worshipped by ancient egyptians as gods, yet some cats were taken upon boats and spread into europe, they helped control the rat problem, yet in the middle ages and black plague, cats were pictured as devils, evil spirits in a cat's body and bad omens. However after the middle ages ended, cats were respected again and became the cute, furry pets of today.
Diet
[edit | edit source]Cats hunt many, many animals, like mice, rats, songbirds, insects, sometimes young or weak owls. But when they aren't, they eat meat-based cat food.
