Catherine O'Hara (March 4, 1954 – January 30, 2026) was a Canadian actress, comedian and writer, who had success in both Canada and the United States.[1][2]

She was an actress in the Toronto branch of Second City, and subsequently was one of the team of actors on the critically admired SCTV.[1][2]

She and Eugene Levy, one of her team members from SCTV frequently appeared together, including in A Mighty Wind, Best in Show and in the Canadian television show Schitts Creek.[1][2]

O'Hara passed away on January 30, 2026.[1] According to People magazine she experienced a "brief illness" prior to her death.[3]
