Cephalosporin
Cephalosporins are a family of antibiotics. They have a broad spectrum, and can be used to treat diseases such as septicaemia, pneumonia, meningitis, peritonitis and inflammations of the urinary tract and biliary tract.
Cephalosporins are classified into "generations":
- First generation: Cefradine.
- Second generation: Cefuroxime.
- Third generation: Cefotaxime, Ceftazidime, Ceftriaxone.
