Charon
Appearance
In Astronomy Charon refers to the largest moon of the Kuiper Belt object Pluto. Charon is believed to be another Kuiper Belt object, captured by Pluto. It is not the largest moon in the Solar system, but it is believed to be the moon that is closest in mass to its primary.
The New Horizons space probe took photos of both Pluto and Charon during its July 2015 flyby.
