A Chihuahua is a very small breed of dog. It is a toy breed, and is the smallest dog available. They can range down as small as one or two pounds.

Chihuahuas are capable of forming close attachments to humans and are kept mainly for companionship.

They can have smooth or rough coats, and are often brown, black, or white.
