Clock

From Encyc

A clock is a timekeeping device. Mechanical clocks use gears and stored energy in the form of a spring and a pendulum. Electronic clocks use a battery or an electrical cord to get their power, and typically feature an integrated circuit to keep time. Many modern clocks use radio waves to synchronize with more accurate clocks. The most accurate clocks are the atomic clocks maintained by the United States government.
