Corn

From Encyc

Corn is a domesticated plant that is used for food, fuel, and many other purposes. It is native to the New World, and was discovered by Europeans following Columbus' voyages.

Corn has large sweet kernels and is delicious on the cob, dried and poppped (often with butter and salt), in soups or stews, ground into flour, or made into a sweet delicious syrup.

High fructose corn syrup is corn syrup that has been treated a similar fructose to glucose ratio as ordinary table sugar (sucrose), though it tastes different.
