Covid-19 is a coronavirus that causes respiratory disease in humans. It is highly contagious and can be lethal, particularly in older populations or those with risk factors such as preexisting respiratory disease or obesity.

Possibly from market that sold live bats for human consumption.

Also possibly from Chinese BSL-4 laboratory in Wuhan that was studying SARS and other bat viruses.
