Cul-de-sac

A cul-de-sac is a dead-end street with a round end to enable cars to turn around easily. It is commonly found in suburban housing developments. Houses in them tend to be valued slightly higher due to decreased traffic. However the design is an inefficient use of land and leads to increased traffic on the remaining streets in the area.
