Danny Heffernan
Danny Heffernan is a fictional character on the American television comedy series, The King of Queens. He is played by Gary Valentine.
Danny is Doug Heffernan's annoying cousin. Though the gang all agree that Danny is annoying, they accept him as one of their own. He has shown talent in karaoke in two of the episodes.
Danny works as a driver at IPS with Doug and their friend Deacon. (He was originally a worker in the loading dock but later got promoted.) Before he worked at IPS, he ran a pizza shop, but lost it in a fire.
Danny has been married twice: once in an honest relationship with a woman he loved, and later Danny married his roommate Spence Olchin in order to obtain a free TV, then, although not depicted on screen, got divorced shortly after receiving the television.
Gary Valentine was chosen to play Danny because in real life, he is the older brother of Kevin James, the star of the show.
When he was thirteen, Doug gave him the nickname "Stumpy".
