Dingleberry
Appearance
A dingleberry is a piece of fecal matter clinging to the fur of an animal near its anus. Dingleberries are of economic importance in the sheep industry, where they can degrade the quality of the wool and cause discomfort and skin infections in sheep. Dingleberries can be prevented by trimming the fur around the anus. Tail docking has also been used as a means of reducing dingleberries.
