Eagle
An eagle is a large bird of prey. Eagles feed on rabbits and rodents, and also larger carrion. They have exceptional eyesight.
In North America, there are Bald Eagles and Golden Eagles. Bald Eagles are the national bird of the United States. They were endangered for a long time due to the use of DDT, an insecticide. It made the shells of their eggs soft. More recently they have made a comeback.
In The Lord of the Rings, fictional giant eagles fight along with the forces of good in the climactic battle, engaging the flying Nazgul. Later on they rescue Frodo and Sam from Mount Doom.
Don't shoot eagles.
