Edward Coristine is an American youth, who is a protege of Elon Musk, and was hired to play a role in the Department of Government Efficiency's "streamlining" of the staff of the US Government.[1]
Background[edit]
Coristine dropped out of Northwestern University, and went to work in Silicon Valley.[1][2]
When he was a 17 Coristine worked, as an intern, for the Path Network, a cybersecurity firm.[3] Coristine's superiors learned he had leaked proprietary secrets. Coristine was not fired, but commentators have said his record of leaking secrets should have precluded his accessing the US Government's most sensitive databases.[2]

He said he wanted to allow Coristine to continue with his internship, in part, because he didn’t want to make him “an enemy” or have him 'running amok' with information he was suspected of taking. Webb allowed him to stay with the proviso that the young employee 'not be exposed to anything that’s really sensitive.'
