Encyc:Requests for adminship
Requests for adminship (RfA) is the process where administrator privileges are granted to individual users on Encyc. This turns a normal user into an "admin" or "sysop" of the wiki.

[edit source]Out of thousands of active users, only three were able to become administrators in April 2014. Admin rights were supposed to be "no big deal" but ten years later it is virtually impossible for a Wikipedian with limited free time to become an admin. Wikipedia has selected its leadership class from high-intensity internet users. Encyc seeks to avoid this trap by considering a variety of factors in its selection process.
