EverybodyWiki

From Encyc

EverybodyWiki is a for-profit, wiki-based online encyclopedia founded in 25 November 2017 as a fork of Wikipedia.[1] It is headquartered in France.

According to the site's rules page, the wiki may remove "promotional pages and guests posts" if a fee is not paid. An AI bot is used to detect promotional content.[2] The site also mentions a yearly fee for using a "page protection" feature to protect content, including non-promotional essays, from users, which was previously free, and may be the same fee and protection mechanism used by those wanting to keep promotional pages up.

Overview[edit | edit source]

EverybodyWiki uses bots (primarily WikiMasterBot2 on the English version) to automatically import articles that are marked for deletion on Wikipedia, as well as drafts that have not been moved to mainspace. A smaller portion of its content consists of original user-contributed articles.

The wiki is known for its copious use of emojis and icons.

The English version had about 555,000 articles as of August 31, 2025.[3]
